The Single Regeneration Budget money will be used to expand the charity's Youth Initiatives project.
Fran Heron, a volunteer at the Community Umbrella, said: "We are the main youth project in our area and we were set up by the community, for the community, because of worries over increasing ethnic tension and rising crime rates."
She added that young people in Camden are perpetrators and victims of crime, which meant outreach work was needed to help young people deal with issues such as drugs.
"We will receive the funds quarterly and plan to set up new projects to tackle crime, drugs and social deprivation," said Heron.
