Youth Magazine: Southwark sets up publication

Youth Work
Southwark Council has launched a magazine written and produced by young people.

Whatever magazine includes information on local activities for young people and follows the launch of a website of the same name in February.

Liberal Democrat Councillor Lisa Rajan, executive member for children's services, said: "There are loads of things going on in Southwark which are aimed at young people. The magazine is our way of making sure young people get to hear about them."

The magazine will be published every quarter and the young people who produce it will attend a six-week journalism course.
