A strategy document due to be launched tomorrow (13 July) will outline how the programme will be taken forward over the next two years. Be Part of Something will broaden the current range of activities that are included under Positive Futures, making it clear that activities such as street dance, photography and film workshops are all a valid part of the programme.
Gary Stannett, the programme director at Crime Concern, which runs the programme for the Home Office, said projects already use the arts but in an "ad hoc" way. "The programme is good at developing youth inclusion through sport," he added.
