As a result of their visit they created a dance CD and an online skating gallery. One young man, Brad, joined a local dance company and, along with 30 other young people, was given the opportunity to perform at Euro Disney. The JRF Arts Project funded the trip.
Judi Alston, a director of One to One Productions, who worked with the foundation, says the 150 projects involving 30 artists and 1,500 children and young people across three estates have made a real difference.
"The scheme has empowered young people, some of whom have gone on to work in the arts and to college," she says. Brad, now 17, has gone on to build more web sites and set up an online company building bespoke computers.
