Ellie Lavan, 19, London - "I don't have good memories of school dinners as I remember the hideous silver trays full of grease being kept warm under the lights, and this was worsened by the fact that I am a vegetarian. There was always something called 'big foot' for vegetarians, which puts you off, or quiches"

Rachael Harrington, 17, Hartlepool - "After the Jamie Oliver campaign there was no change in school dinners in my school, all they served was chips and greasy burgers. It was also expensive and we always went to the shops instead. My college is quite good for hot food, and there are healthy and unhealthy options"
