Young people cross swords to open housing project

Young people try their hand at fencing as part of a day of sport to mark the opening of an affordable housing project in east London.

The day saw coaches from the Newham Sports Academy help teenagers from Stratford try out various sports including fencing and judo on the roof of the new Stratford Eye tower block, which was built by housing associations London & Quadrant Housing Trust and Tower Homes. The academy was set up by the London Borough of Newham to help get hard-to-reach teenagers interested in sport.
