A project in Bristol has been launched with a specialist health and social care team to support young offenders with substance misuse and mental health needs.
Launched to coincide with Mental Health Action Week on 21-27 April, Project Max will have a team of drugs workers and mental health professionals, with support from a clinical psychologist and a consultant psychiatrist.
The project has been set up as a multi-agency partnership between Bristol Drug Action Team, street crime scheme Operation Lynx at Avon & Somerset Police, primary care trusts and the youth offending team.
