CASH BOOST TO COMBAT ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
A 1.2m cash boost to improve neighbourhoods blighted byanti-social behaviour has been announced by Home Office minister HazelBlears. The funding is part of Operation Gate-It. A total of 88 projectshave been allocated money to deliver improvements to the physicalenvironment.

Eighty per cent of 16-year-olds who run away cite "problems at home" asone of the reasons for their actions, while nearly a quarter (23 percent) of young people under 16 felt that problems at school hadcontributed to them running away, although usually in conjunction withproblems at home.
