Linda Sharpe is filling the role left vacant by David Bedford's departure until a replacement can be found.
Bedford, who was chair of the youth charity's national board for three years, left his post a week after Angela Sarkis quit her position as national secretary on 4 April (www.cypnow.co.uk). The two are understood to have been in conflict, although no details of any grievances have been disclosed.
A YMCA England spokesman confirmed a board meeting would be held on 26 April and it was likely a chair and an interim national secretary would be appointed. He said: "YMCA England's board is looking to start a consultation with the YMCA movement as to the role of the national secretary. The interim national secretary will be appointed to help lead that consultation."
