YJB dismisses rogue reports

Youth Justice Board (YJB) chiefs have moved to dismiss rogue reports that the launch of the controversial Scaled Approach has been postponed by six months.

Several youth offending teams across England and Wales had been toldthat the Scaled Approach and Youth Rehabilitation Order would not comeinto effect until 4 April 2010. But the YJB said the information hadcome from "non-YJB sources" and the date remains 30 November thisyear.

Meanwhile, three new members have been appoin-ted to the board of theYJB: Angela Sarkis, John Wrangham and Jennifer Izekor.
