- Senior speech/language therapist - special needs (Guernsey) - 32,091-33,916

- Lecturer in speech/language (West Midlands) - 22,191-33,679 difficulties in education

- Speech/language therapist - early years (Tower Hamlets) - 19,630-25,875

- Speech/language therapist's assistant (Scotland) - 11,195-12,815

- Locum speech/language therapist (Scotland) - 25 per hour

Salaries are set centrally by the Department of Health. There are five bands, each containing points, and pay can reach more than 60,000 depending on the band, points and nature of the job.
