- Warwickshire County Council has appointed Carol Bunyard as itsextended schools co-ordinator. She previously worked as area manager forthe council's adult and community learning service. In her new role,Bunyard will report to senior area education officer Peter Thompson.
- Derbyshire County Council has hired Bruce Buckley as its firstdirector of children's services. Buckley took the role earlier thismonth after 14 years as the director of social services. He will workwith the council's cabinet member for children's services councillorAnne Western.
