The Taxpayers Alliance's Town Hall Rich List 2007 report reveals thatGraham Badman earned 188,500 in 2005/06. This makes him the UK'sninth best paid council worker and a bigger earner than Prime MinisterTony Blair, who gets 186,429 a year.
The alliance named Janet Tomlinson, director of education and children'sservices at Slough Borough Council, as the lowest paid children'sservices director with a salary of 100,000. But the report onlylisted council workers earning 100,000 or more a year.
And children's services directors still lag behind Ken Boston, the chiefexecutive of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, who thealliance named as the best paid children's sector worker on thegovernment payroll.
