How much is on offer? The trust awards around 100 fellowships each year and in 2009 the average grant for a fellowship was £5,500, covering visits of between four and eight weeks.
What will it fund? The grant is intended to cover all travel costs, as well as daily living costs and any insurance that may be required. To gain funding, fellows must demonstrate the worth of their project, submit a report on the findings and disseminate it widely, start and complete projects within a year and join their local Association of Churchill Fellows.
Who can apply? There are 10 categories including support for children and vocational training. Applicants need to be at least 18 and a UK resident. The deadline for 2010 applications is 6 October 2009.
