What works? Comment -- Christine Davies, Director of C4EO

1 min read
Over the past weeks and months, the election has dominated our attention. Regardless of politics, however, a common goal remains - to make positive differences to the lives of children, young people and their families.

Since the Centre for Excellence and Outcomes started in 2008, our aim has been to support all those working in children's services by bringing together the best evidence about "what works" and providing practical, hands-on sector specialists. We have analysed 6,000 research items, highlighting the most relevant and significant findings.

Fifty-six local areas have provided sector specialists and I am pleased that we now have more than 90 delivering free, tailored support across England.

We are recruiting more specialists and will be extending our offer to cover the themes of schools and communities, youth, families, parents and carers, and early intervention. We hope you are finding our range of services of benefit.
