Next week is Anti-Bullying Week (19-23 November). It is co-ordinated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance at the National Children’s Bureau. As I see my colleagues at the alliance rushing about the building busy preparing for their annual, national awareness raising campaign, it has got me thinking about what is currently being done and what we can all do to help support this important initiative.
Over the past 10 years, a range of anti-bullying measures have been introduced to schools such as government guidance and an increased emphasis on bullying in school inspections. Yet our children are still reporting high levels of bullying in schools today.
