Young people from all over Wales converged on Margam Park from 26 to 31 May. The youth festival, which celebrates and promotes Welsh language and culture, attracted more than 20,000 young people on the first two days to take part in fun, games and competitions.
The Welsh Assembly's Aim Higher programme also made its presence felt at the festival to promote the benefits of higher education. Aim Higher encourages young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to consider university and demonstrates the support they can get.
The festival also saw the announcement of the new Children's Poet Laureate for Wales, Cery Wyn Jones, who will work to raise awareness of poetry through workshops for young people.
