Clybiau Plant Cymru Kids' Club, which is a member of a new Welsh childcare partnership (Children Now, 19-25 January), has hit out at the Welsh Assembly's decision to slash its funding from 1m a year to an average of 367,000.
Director Wendy Hawkins said: "We feel that we have, at all times, been open and transparent, so all the way along they have known our grand plan.
"I think they should have told us months ago if they were cutting the grant, but they didn't do that. I feel that they have not been open and transparent with us."
She added that the organisation would have to cut its staff from 35 to 12.
