Some young people live too much in a fantasy world where they don't come to terms with the real world. I think it's important to have somebody who is going to give you an honest opinion of where you are, what your expectations should be, and realistic goals and aims.
We do have a careers adviser at school but they are very hard to get in touch with because they're only in school for one afternoon a week. I don't think every student in a year group actually gets to see the careers adviser. I don't know many people who would actually pop down to Connexions, so that makes it even harder.
