Volunteering: Russell Commission to open consultation

1 min read

The consultation will consist of 27 questions arranged around three themes: engaging young people; activities and opportunities; and motivation and reward.

Dr Justin Davis Smith, director of the Institute for Volunteering Research and a member of the Russell Commission, said: "The consultation will gather views on issues such as incentivisation and accreditation, and whether financial incentives are wanted."

It will run until 31 December and will be accessible from the Russell Commission's main and youth web sites. Hard copies of the document will be made available through voluntary groups.

An event at Chelsea Football Club will launch the consultation on 4 October.
