Virtual support: Disabled drop-in centre available online

A virtual drop-in centre has been created in an online computer game to offer parents with disabled children support and information. Contact a Family has set up the advice centre in Second Life as part of its online support service. The disabled children's charity said mums have become one of the biggest groups of users of social networking websites, as they are restricted from leaving the house because of their intensive caring roles. The project is funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families' Parent Know How initiative.
