Tribute to the unsung heroes

4 mins read
The Children and Young People's Services Awards offer a rare chance to celebrate the achievements of the sector. After a record number of entries, the shortlist has been finalised.

The needs of tomorrow's generation are centre stage in government policy and in the national psyche. In just seven weeks time, unsung heroes who work to improve young lives across the UK will be honoured in the 2008 Children and Young People's Services Awards, organised by CYP Now in association with the Children's Workforce Development Council.

The contenders for each of the awards have been determined by an expert judging panel and are listed here. Congratulations if you are one of the people, projects or organisations shortlisted for an award. It's no mean feat: this year we received a record 520 entries.
