The Social Entrepreneur Awards

1 min read
What is it? The Social Entrepreneur Awards are part of the Bank of Scotland Corporate's social responsibility programme. They exist to reward organisations that combine business acumen with not-for-profit activities.

Who can apply? Charities, voluntary and community organisations, churches, social groups, public sector organisations, schools and universities are all eligible to apply for the awards. However, individuals and organisations whose principal activity relates to insurance or banking, trade unions and involvement in politics are not eligible for entry to the awards.

What will it fund? The Social Entrepreneur Awards are open to a broad range of not-for-profit organisations that aim to further social or environmental goals, or operate for social benefit. Finalists will have to present a business idea to a panel of judges and explain why their organisation should win the prize. The judging panel will include representatives from organisations such as The Sunday Times and the Bank of Scotland Corporate.
