November 2005 is National Speakout Month.
It provides an opportunity for homeless and excluded people to communicate with and influence people and organisations that make decisions that affect their lives.
Locally organised Speakouts take place throughout the month, enabling people everywhere to realise they have a positive contribution to make, and creating a platform for homeless people's issues to be shared and listened to.
Groundswell, the organisers of Speakouts, will use the event to help contribute to the national agenda. By collecting the issues raised at local Speakouts around the UK, a common campaign agenda of homeless people's demands can begin to be assembled. More information is available from www.groundswell.org.uk.
