In particular it can provide bespoke consultancy on youth work-related crime reduction and effective practice; support for local authorities, police authorities, youth offending services and crime and disorder reduction partnerships in developing effective approaches; building the voice of young people into planning and decision making and co-ordinating and facilitating consultation and research.
Recent work includes consultation with young people for West Midlands Police Authority on their perceptions and experiences about personal safety and work with Staffordshire Youth Offending Service to implement participation standards. The Agency also undertook a national review of effective practice around positive activities, young people and gang culture.
