The National Youth Agency: Young Mayor

In the latest issue of The Edge, out now, the Young Mayor's Office at Newham presents readers with a briefing on how and why having a young mayor works for them.

Seen here at a recent Parliamentary event to call for more directly elected young mayors is Newham's Young Mayor, Joshua Adejokun. He told MPs "Newham has one of the youngest populations in London and I've been working hard to give a voice to Newham's young people and make positive changes to the area." Pictured with him are (left to right) Newham youth council member Muhammad Uddin, local government minister John Healey MP, and Newham youth council member Shama Anwar.
