The National Youth Agency: Young Adult Learners Partnership tobegin research into young parents

1 min read

The research, funded by The Department for Education and Skills (DfES), will be carried out by YALP, which is jointly managed by the family learning team at the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) and The NYA.

It is anticipated that the age range of young parents will be from 13 to 24.

The research aims to identify some of the characteristics of young parents involved in learning, their learning needs and interests, the range of organisations working with them, their families and peers, the obstacles faced by young parents in accessing family learning and young parents' perception of "family learning".
