Each Participation Awareness Raising Workshop event will offer an introduction to the what, why and how of participation and provide participants with a self-assessment tool to help their organisations measure and improve the way they involve young people.
The events are organised by Participation Works, a national consortium of six participation organisations including The NYA.
With funding from the Big Lottery Fund, the workshops are free for one person per voluntary organisation. Subject to availability of spaces, statutory sector colleagues can also attend for a fee of 85.
The first event is in Lincoln on 10 July, with subsequent workshops taking place in all parts of England from Tyneside to Cornwall until 29 April 2008.
