The National Youth Agency: Top award given to youth work trainingprogramme

1 min read

The programme was designed and delivered by FPM, a Leicester-based specialist provider of development programmes for public service managers, in partnership with The National Youth Agency. It gave more than 450 managers from every local authority in England the opportunity to develop their skills as strategic leaders as part of the Government's drive to modernise services to young people. The programme was funded by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES).

In presenting the award, Graeme Hall, chief executive of UK Skills, drew attention to the impact of the programme on the managers' skills and confidence and to the importance of well-run services to the young people who use them.
