The National Youth Agency: The NYA's Aiming High events get underway

The series of nine regional events "Sharing, learning and developing action" organised by The National Youth Agency kicked off in Leeds on 30 October.

Keynote speakers, including Fiona Blacke, chief executive of The NYA, provided a national perspective on Aiming High for Young People: a ten year strategy for positive activities and its challenges.

Regional speakers shared case examples on each of the four workshop topics. Delegates then explored the positives and challenges and developed plans for action.

The NYA social media team uploaded short interviews with speakers and key points from each workshop to the regional event web site. This has a public section for discussion and debate and delegates can download in advance the four workshop briefings.

Places are available at the remaining regional events. For bookings, email sarad@nya.org.uk, events@4Children.org.uk or call 4Children on 020 7522 6970. For more details, visit www.nya.org.uk/tenyearstrategy.
