The pack, which is free, has been compiled by The NYA with assistance from other agencies supporting Youth Work Week, including YoungMinds, Youth Access and the British Medical Association.
The pack opens with messages from The NYA chief executive Tom Wylie and Barbara Herts, chief executive of YoungMinds. It goes on to include top tips on staying mentally healthy, some key statistics on young people's mental health, briefings on subjects including self-harm and suicide prevention, listings of specialist organisations that can help and a copy of the YoungMinds manifesto for young people and mental health.
In addition, writer and trainer Vanessa Rogers has produced a set of 15 simple activities that can be used to raise mental health issues with young people - these range from icebreakers encouraging young people to talk about what makes them happy, to sessions looking at relaxation techniques and "Risk and Resilience", complete with a handout listing more than 60 factors.
