Stories of the World will focus on three things - welcoming the world, inspiring young people and delivering a legacy. Exhibitions will run from 2010 to 2012 and present collections in museums, archives and libraries in new and unexpected ways. The aim of The NYA project was to look at how young people can participate in the design, delivery and development of exhibitions and four informal sessions were arranged at Plymouth, Glasgow, London and Sheffield. Dame Liz Forgan, chair of the Stories of the World Project Board, said: "It was very important for us to start our planning by talking to young people so that we could understand what might motivate you to get involved and what you want to get out of it. Stories of the World really does bring alive the vision of inspiring and involving young people."
