The project

Kirklees Young People's Service has trained young people to become active in its communities through a programme of structured training, a residential, regular meetings and events. Other aims were to give young people the skills to speak confidently and to encourage young people from diverse backgrounds to work together. Young people branded the project, evaluated the training materials and debated issues with a range of decision-makers. An interactive CD-Rom has been produced, and will be available as a learning tool for other organisations.
