I have worked in the world of participation since 2003 and joined The National Youth Agency in mid-April.
As part of my induction, I worked with a colleague from The Agency and partners from Dudley Children's Fund and Mencap, to support a group of young people to train the participation sub group of Dudley Borough Council's Children and Young People's Partnership in using Hear by Right. The young people facilitated expertly and the participation sub group engaged very positively. By the end of the day the adults and young people had identified current participation practice and priorities for action in Dudley, and established what sub group members need to do next, and by when they need to do it.
