In a break from the norm, The NYA has published Ruckus with a young readership in mind. It is partly written and steered by young people and focuses on issues important to them, as well as looking at some interesting subjects in greater detail.
In the first issue Dani Millard looks at body piercing, while there are also opinion pieces about religion, a look at what the 2012 Olympics will mean to young people in the UK and a user's guide to forming a band.
Ruckus is designed to be versatile and adaptable, and is certainly not preachy or instructional. Future issues will look at everything from learning to fly a helicopter to the latest gaming craze and the third generation of consoles. Basically, if young people want to see it tackled, Ruckus will tackle it.
