The National Youth Agency: Neighbourhood Support Fund adds realvalue to local youth projects

The re-engagement of young people is a topic of discussion and debate within the youth service. The final evaluation report of The National Youth Agency strand of the Neighbourhood Support Fund (NSF) programme from Cardiff Business School - Delivering social inclusion: an evaluation of Neighbourhood Support Fund projects managed by The NYA - makes a contribution to the debate in terms of local infrastructure, partnerships, organisational management and innovative youth work programmes.

The evaluation was based on primary and secondary data compiled from questionnaires, interviews and surveys with young people, project managers, principal youth officers, Department for Education and Skills officers and NYA staff. This was supplemented with 10 case studies and analysis of monitoring information.
