The National Youth Agency: Myplace improving youth facilities

The National Youth Agency has welcomed the launch of myplace, the programme designed to kick start the Government's vision for improving youth facilities outlined in Aiming High for Young People:

A 10-Year Strategy for Positive Activities. Myplace will distribute £190m of Government capital investment over the next three years through grants of between £1m and £5m. Fiona Blake, chief executive of The NYA, said: "I believe myplace will drive a major change in the way places for young people are designed and delivered. It provides a significant opportunity to promote, improve and extend youth services across England by supporting those with ambition and vision to deliver world class places for young people to go within the wider context of local strategic planning."

Myspace opens to first round applications on 6 May.
