The National Youth Agency: Marathon man

Those who know him would normally find The National Youth Agency's Richard McKie relentlessly striving to improve standards and raise awareness of the importance of health in work with young people (see the regional seminars launching the Healthy Youth Work Good Practice Guidelines, for example).

But the senior development officer in the Youth Work for Health team at The NYA put his running shoes where his mouth is to run the 2008 London Marathon, finishing in a more than respectable time of 4 hours 30 minutes and 45 seconds. Well done Richard!
