The issue includes a detailed briefing on The Russell Commission's report on youth action and engagement. The briefing poses six key tests for the Russell Commission's recommendations.
Andy Hopkinson, head of publications at The NYA, said: "We hope The Edge will demonstrate to local authority elected members how well funded and delivered youth services are not just a developmental service for young people but bring wider community benefits, and, by doing this, help persuade them to become a youth champion in their authority."
Copies of The Edge are available free of charge on request from Helena Ferrao-Read at helenafr@nya.org.uk. It can also be downloaded from The National Youth Agency web site at www.nya.org.uk.
