The National Youth Agency: Increase in Young Roots work createsvacancies for regional co-ordinators

1 min read
The Young Roots programme is seeking two co-ordinators to cover either the Yorkshire & Humber or Eastern regions. Both are fixed-term part-time (15 hours per week) posts to run until October 2007.

Young Roots is an exciting partnership between The NYA and the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) supporting youth work that encourages young people to research heritage, culture and history.

A growing number of youth workers are exploring this innovative and productive area of work, and this is an excellent opportunity to provide the management and co-ordination support that they need.

The roles will be based at the regional HLF offices in Leeds and Cambridge, and will be responsible for promoting the scheme among youth groups, helping to assess applications and monitor projects.

For more information or an application pack, please call 0116 242 7400 (24-hour). The closing date for receipt of applications is 1pm on Wednesday 5 April.
