The National Youth Agency: Forthcoming events from The NYA

1 min read

- Engaging Young People in Heritage (6 October): This conference aims to disseminate the lessons learned in the Young Roots programme run by The Heritage Lottery Fund in partnership with The NYA. The aim is then to encourage more active support for young people wishing to explore, participate in and celebrate the diverse heritage in the UK.

- Act Out (21 October): This one-day event at Knuston Hall in Wellingborough is a practical workshop that invites youth workers, teachers and Connexions PAs to explore ways that drama and role-play can deliver informal education.

- Global Youth Work Regional Seminars (8 September - London Voluntary Sector Resource Centre; 29 September - Dillington House, Illminster, Somerset; 6 October - The National Youth Agency, Leicester; 13 October - Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds): These seminars will include a presentation and discussion about global youth work and explain how The NYA can support local youth services to develop it within the curriculum and in local training programmes for youth workers. For further information or to book, email Sara Dickinson at sarad@nya.org.uk.
