The post of development officer, quality standards, will take a major role in the development and implementation of kitemarking for youth services. Candidates must have at least five years' experience of varied and senior responsibility across youth work or related organisations and an up-to-date knowledge of developments in youth policy and practice. They will also need to be able to draw on experience of devising and operating quality assurance processes, systems and standards.
The agency is also seeking two members of staff to launch a three-year Young People's Development Programme (YPDP). Funded by the Department of Health, this initiative will support work that addresses risk behaviour by 13- to 15-year-olds, especially in terms of sexual health and substance misuse, delivered through a diverse range of activities such as outdoor pursuits, IT and alternative education provision.
