The National Youth Agency: Developing the youth sector workforce

1 min read
Tom Wylie, The National Youth Agency's chief executive, will be sharing a stage with Maria Eagle MP on Valentine's Day (14 February 2006) - but only for professional reasons.

They are both speaking at Developing the Youth Sector Workforce, a one-day conference from Neil Stewart Associates (NSA) to be held at the Barbican, London.

While Ms Eagle will be giving the keynote speech, Tom Wylie will talk about the key challenges facing workforce reform. He will also be joined on the day by The NYA's Di Evans, who will co-ordinate a workshop on flexible entry routes. The conference will explore best practice in raising standards, joining up local service delivery and making youth services an attractive career option.

It is aimed at both policymakers and practitioners who are working to achieve increased recruitment, retention and quality in youth work.
