The National Youth Agency: Comment - Why you should be blogging

1 min read
In the January issue of Youth Work Now Michael Bracey set out the challenge. Youth work has to get to grips with new technology.

Not only to engage with young people but to also build a stronger community of practitioners creating and responding to change. And to begin with, youth work needs to get to grips with blogging. Head to www.wordpress.com and you could have your own blog in minutes - ready for you to publish to the world. But why would you? Here are seven reasons to get started:

1. Sharing resources

Use your blog to share links to useful resources you've found online, or upload and publish resources you've created.

2. Reflective practice

A blog can be your reflective journal: a space to "think aloud" about the successes and challenges of your work. Invite others to respond and leave comments on your blog.
