As much as I tried to curb my snot-related rumblings, given the grandeur of my surroundings and the expectation that I would make not so much as a sound during dinner (or high tea or whatever they called it), the reality was that my sniff became worse. Uncontrollable, even. In retrospect, the problem was not simply down to nerves, but it was because my relatives had several long-haired and utterly psychotic cats skulking around the place. I was viciously allergic to the furry freaks.
I have never got on with cats, partly because I am certain if cats grew to the size that some dogs grow to, they would happily kill you - just for fun. This is why people don't, as a rule, keep leopards.
