I was talking to a member of my family about this. She said that people should realise that I like day-to-day things as well as my work, including a spot of gardening. This is true and this year I have grown five large(ish) orange pumpkins. They are beautiful - different shapes admittedly but very evidently pumpkin and full of goodness. I remarked that pumpkins are more important than all this "bobbing around". If you nurture pumpkins they grow and end up full of natural goodness. You do have to keep watering them, provide a bit of tender loving care against mould, feed them and the like. Common everyday processes and a staple but beautiful product.
