The National Youth Agency: Comment - Commit to the five outcomes

Over the last month or so I have attended a number of parties - all in places beginning with "b". They had some very interesting differences and these extended well beyond whether the beach was sandy, pebbly or covered by the sea!

Differences were about how you achieve "the good life" for all and about how the party you were at is the best one to help the country get there quickest. Equally, the parties shared a lot in common. There was high energy, lots of talk, far too many hasty lunches of strange fried bits of food and free newspapers. Being serious, however, the parties also were very similar on what "the good life" looks like. Everyone wants a world where people are OK, where there is a future (climate change), where there is enough to go round (economy), where people are living effective lives (health) and achieve (education). I could go on.
