To illustrate this, MtW focused on Gran Torino, a 2008 film starring Clint Eastwood playing a disgruntled Korean War veteran who sets out to reform his teenage refuge neighbour. After catching the teenage tearway trying to take his car without paying a fistful of dollars, Eastwood gets him a job at his friend's construction firm.
According to the release, Gran Torino "reflects the UK reality of hundreds of thousands of unemployed young people from challenging backgrounds", and MtW says the country needs "more Clints if we are to tackle youth unemployment and the skills shortage".
