The Children & Young People Now Awards represent the gold standard in services for children, young people and families across the UK. They recognise the most innovative and effective work in transforming young lives and building a better society. Too much of this work goes unnoticed and unappreciated - these awards set to put that right and spread good practice.

Now in their eighth year, there are 21 categories open to individuals and projects from across the UK. We have introduced two new categories this year: the National Citizen Service award, for the NCS project with the greatest local impact; and the Intergenerational Award, for the initiative that has made the biggest contribution in bringing together young and old in their community.

As ever, entries must be able to provide robust evidence that demonstrates the impact of the work.

In a departure from previous years, entries to the 2013 awards need to be submitted online at www.cypnowawards.com/enter. You can also upload supporting materials to your online entry, or post them separately to us, stating clearly the entry it is accompanying.

This year’s gala awards ceremony will once again take place at the striking Georgian clubhouse at the Hurlingham Club in Fulham, west London
