What does Tact do?

The Adolescent and Children's Trust (Tact) was founded in 1992 in response to changes in childcare policy that encouraged fostering. As well as recruiting, training and supporting foster carers, Tact has broadened its services, providing an adoption service since its merger with the Independent Adoption Service last year.

Where is it based?

Tact's head office is in Hither Green, south-east London. It also provides services through eight other offices in east London, Kent, Kettering, West Bromwich, Bristol, Neath, Liverpool and Edinburgh.

What sort of roles are available?

More than 110 people work for Tact. Support functions including marketing, personnel and finance are based in London, as is the adoption service. From September, all Tact vacancies are listed on the organisation's website www.tactcare.org.uk.
